2008 / 2009 - Rachel Feldhay Brenner has completed her work on the book The Artist and the World: The Fiction of Ruth Almog (in Hebrew) which will be published by Hakibbutz Hameuchad Press (Tel Aviv). She has published “Voices from Destruction: Two Eyewitness Testimonies from the Stanis_wow Ghetto.” The articles “The Woman Artist in Ruth Almog’s Fiction: Her Formation and Engagement with the World” and “Responses to the Holocaust by Three Israeli Women Writers” have been accepted for publication. Brenner presented papers at the Association of Jewish Studies Conference (Toronto), the Association for Israel Studies (New York), and the Warsaw Judaistic Congress. She has conducted a symposium “The Unknown Anne Frank” at the Madison Repertory Theatre. Brenner has continued to serve as President of the Association for Israel Studies. In September 2008 she will begin her tenure as Senior Fellow in the Institute for Research in the Humanities.
